Summer Fun Has Begun!
There’s just something about summer in Rohnert Park. With exciting ways to live it up around University District on sunshiny days as well as effortless access to neighboring cities—it’s good times all summer long in this always-happening, forever-happy locale.
Get things started with some homegrown, locally sourced goodness. Every Friday, between 5pm and 8pm, gather the family and find all your favorite farm-to-table eats in one spot in Rohnert Park—and don’t forget to stick around for toe-tapping tunes from local bands as we Party on the Plaza.
Speaking of toe-tapping tunes, tune in to Green Music Center’s latest musical masterpiece, just down the road from University District. With a fresh new lineup for their Summer at the Green 2023 event, it’s easy to see why this space is a local, and not-so-local, favorite. Whether you’re all about enjoying the Santa Rosa Symphony’s out-of-this-world take on Star Wars or a straight-up movie buff, ready to relish iconic films, Green Music Center is the spot for you.
Down for an artsy afternoon? Your options are limitless! From the Cotati Accordion Festival to Art on the Plaza, Sonoma’s free-to-enter boutique festival, there are plenty of ways to support local artists and enjoy live music around here.
When you’re in the mood to discover a new point of view, head to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds on July 14 and 15 for the Hot Air Balloon Classic, where you can take to the skies in a hot air balloon! If you’d prefer to keep your feet planted firmly on solid ground, don’t you worry—we’ve got good times for all. Stop by the dedicated kids’ zone for activities to keep your little ones engaged and entertained or put the “fun” in family-centered fun and enjoy craft booths or delicious eats and treats at the food booths.
Envision this: You’ve experienced a day well spent along the Wine Road Summer Wine Trail with only the best bouquets courtesy of over 40 local wineries. Best day date ever! If you’re keen to keep it low key, Paradise Ridge Winery’s ticketed event welcomes you to drop by every Wednesday and enjoy food trucks, local wines and panoramic sunset views. Either way, you’re perfectly placed to wind down with a little wine this summer.
